SC Statewide Day of Prayer

On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, the state of South Carolina will hold a statewide day of prayer. According to the press release from the governor’s office, this will be a time for South Carolinians, regardless of their religious denomination, “to pray for continued strength and healing across the state and give thanks for the state’s blessings.”

The Bishop of Charleston calls on all parishes in the Diocese to participate in the Day of Prayer with these intentions: On this special Day of Prayer in South Carolina, let us have compassion toward each other, count our blessings, and remember that we are one state, one people.

In participation in this Day of Prayer, Jesus, Our Risen Savior Parish will have a Holy Hour which begins at 11 a.m. followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass at noon.

Please come and join us on this special day of prayer in South Carolina.
