It is always painful to lose a loved one. Our Catholic faith helps us accept this tragedy of losing someone we love. Rest assured that we are here to support and pray for you in this most difficult moment of your life.
Here are the guidelines and information to help you celebrate new life (Funeral Mass).
Contact the parish office as soon as possible.
Funeral Mass:
Please download the form, fill out and bring it with you when you to arrange a funeral Mass.
Readings for the Liturgy of the Word: Follow the link and choose two readings, one from the Old Testament and the other from the New Testament, as well as the Gospel reading. Psalm 23 is what most families choose for Responsorial Psalm. However, the priest can help you choose another Psalm. Family members can read the reading during the funeral Mass or a lector(s) can be chosen for you.
Music: A keyboard player and cantor will be provided. Please choose the songs from the link below. Family members can also play the keyboard and/or sing instead of the parish cantor. However, the music must be chosen from the approved list of songs in the link below.
Repast: Our parish has a Bereavement Committee ministry who provide a small reception in our All Purpose Room upon request. The committee will set up, provide and serve food and beverages, and clean up afterwards.
Funeral Program: A funeral program will be created by our parish secretary. Please provide a picture for the front of the program.
